A friend just got in touch with me about the X Prizes. He wanted to do the lunar prize, but I'm more interested by the Genomics X Prize - I think they might have very interesting software challenges in there...
So lets see... I know nothing of genomics, there are companies in there with Nobel laureates working on the problem, I'm working very hard at a company doing a job I like leaving me with little free time.
OTOH, this is very exciting and different and would be a great hobby, I have access to computing resources that few others have, I have in theory some time at work for experimental projects.
